Sponsored content
Sponsored content policy
If money ever meets this notebook, this page is the contract it has to survive.
The Notebook may accept sponsored placements, and accepts them under rules that keep the guides trustworthy. A placement is a clearly labeled page or module paid for by an identified sponsor. It is never presented as editorial advice, never inserted inside a guide's recommendations, and never published without a visible disclosure at the top of the page that names the sponsor.
The mechanical rules
- Labels: the words sponsored content appear on the page itself, in plain sight, not in a footnote.
- Links: any paid link carries the rel sponsored and nofollow attributes, and points once, to the sponsor's own page.
- Placement: sponsored material lives outside the guide strata, so a page about Chaco is never also an advertisement.
- Records: every placement is logged with its campaign, dates and destination before it goes live.
What is never for sale
No payment buys a sentence of advice, a change of a date range, a softer line on site etiquette or a kinder footnote on the laws that protect sites. No placement is accepted from operations that trade in antiquities, which the artifacts guide treats as the trade they are. The editorial policy governs all unpaid pages, the privacy policy governs reader data, and proposals start at the contact page.
